What razor do you use?

What razor do you use? On your face, not your beanbag.

I've been using the Gillette Fusion for awhile, but I'm a cheap **** and want to find something better. I used the Schick Xtreme 3's a decade or so ago. So I picked some up and they chopped my face off. I don't know if I became a pussy or they got shittier. Anyway, I'm looking for some new options.

Wilkinson Sword classic double-edged blades.

My wife bought me a silver-tip badger brush for Christmas.

I now look forward to shaving every morning. It's ****ing awesome.

So glad I switched from disposable blades about six months ago. I only regret not doing it sooner.

Uses Gilette Mach III cartridges.

I also have a shit ton of Sensors stashed away, but I prefer the Mach.

Have also tried [and have the handles for] The Schick Quattro. I use the electric trimmer on one Quattro handle occasionally in a pinch, but I don't find the blades any better than Mach, and my Mach handle is nicer.

Also, with cartridges getting so expensive, the blue jean strop really works. Only you have to be careful not to wear away the lubricating strip.

Never yet found an electric that doesn't tear the **** out of my face.

I bathe or shower in REALLY hot water, with the towel on the face, and am meticulous about my blades.

Closer, smoother, and MUCH less burn than electric.

Here's where I struggle.

I have to wash my face a lot - however I constantly get that drying (side effect) - I'd use lotion - but they clog your pores - and I have larger pores than normal. So i tend to my face quite often. Anybody have any good recs for a moisturizer and a cleaner for face region? - and don't ****ing recommend skin bracer pls. and thanks.

By the way - the dollar shave club commercials are fairly funny - they have around 4 of them I think. All on youtube.

The aloe strip is usually gone with just three or four uses - how are you preserving yours? - Your father must have trained you much better than mine.

I use this pre-shave. It clears out the pores, rather than clogging them. Slightly astringent, with scrubbing beads.

Rarely use after shave of any type. Just Gilchrist and Soames Oatmeal bar.

I've been looking into purchasing a shaving cream (or shaving gel) warmer for the home. Have you tried that?

I don't really rely on it, or miss it when it's gone, with all the other shaving prep I do. You just don't want to tear the pad where it sits, or the rubber beard stretchy things on the front side of the blades, or you'll snag your face.
