If you were buying a 4X4 Full size truck, what would you buy?

Alas, the 2005 F150 with 175K miles has a dead transmission. $1.5K to $2K for a rebuild. Truck is worth maybe $5K to 6K.

SOOOOOOOOOOO........

Looking for 4X4 full size truck primarily to be used to haul around 225lbs of dog: two Great Danes......and light farm work.

Thinking 2014 or 2015 coming off of a lease.

What is your brand preference and why?

thanks!!

PS: Anybody want a broken 2005 F150? Make ya a great deal!!

Yeah. The extras add up quick, but at a price of 38.5 it made sense to buy new. We are secluded here and land locked so used vehicle prices are a little than normal. Used Tacomas when available were about $20k for 10yr old with 100k, $30k for 2012 with 60k and 35k for 2014s just made since to add a few thou and go new

Truck market is super strong in general.
Chevy is the worst? Wow.

Not throwing stones. We only have a chevy outfit here.

Looks like I'll probably stick with GM. I'm not and probably won't ever be in the new market.

However, I saw a commercial advertising air suspension on Rams. If it's worth a ****, that might be a game changer.

I have no idea why ALL vehicles don't use air suspensions and jake brakes. I'm not a trucker but damn, those technologies are EASY.

My diesel has exhaust braking. It's not loud like a semi's jake brake, though.

If you put straight pipes on it, it would be loud. The only reason those are loud is they have no restriction exhausts.

I have a Volvo with 450 hp ISX cummins and they're really quiet.

I am not a big enough douche to put the big exhausts on.

Oh no. You don't have near enough douche on you for that noise.

Coming out of the bed? That's gayer than cum on a mustache.
