We gotta stop their running game. The tables are set for a Chief victory. We had 10 days rest/preparation, at home on prime time, and they are injured, but suddenly running the ball well (at least yesterday). If our team is a contender, not a pretender then we win on our field. I think if yesterday's game was played in Miami then Denver prob woulda lost, unless the refs really are on the take... I hope this team is up for the challenge!!

They better send mother nature a game ball, because that rain had a lot to do with our inefficient offense in the first half. After the rain stopped at the half, our offense pushed the raiders shit around like they owned it. They were helpless to stop us. We'll be back looking for some revenge. I honestly see the Chiefs winning this one in blowout fashion.

Pittsburgh: Big Ben has played well at times this year. However, when he has played good defenses, he hasn't performed nearly that good. For instance, when the Jets beat the steelers...they ended big bens and the steelers offense impressive two game run (where big ben had like back to back 6 TD games). What other team has a very similar defensive philosophy to the Jets? The Chiefs...the difference being we have a pass rush. On the other side of the ball, our offense will be going up against a proven (but geriatric) defense. Polomalu isn't the player he used to be, Keisel is 35 years old and at the tail end of his career, and Harrison had to be talked out of retirement. These are players that have seen better days. Our offense should be able to move the ball against them. This isn't the same steelers defense of a few years ago. And it shows.

San Diego: This is going to be a good game. San Diego might very well be fighting for their playoff lives at this point. The Chiefs could be in position to claim the #2 seed (if everything goes right for us). So this could likely be a very important game for both ball clubs. We already beat them once, and this game will be at arrowhead. They'll be dangerous, but you have to like our chances at home.

12-4 is a real possibility barring another setback (like losing to the 1-10 raiders).

Us knocking Murray out of the game gave us the shot. In Case you didn't notice we could stop him either.

It also rained on their side of the field. Our game plan should have changed earlier to rain and field conditions. They beat us, so if you blame anyone blame the coaching staff and not unrealistic statements on the weather.

Eh, the weather situation really did benefit them more than us. Our down field passing game is already non-existent. With that much rain I don't think Alex looked beyond 4 yards past the line of scrimmage. That's why they were able to key in on the running and screen game.

Plus, edge rushers can't get the proper footing to wreak havoc in the back field like we're accustomed to. We should have sent some more A gap blitzes, IMO. The one time I remember seeing one Mauga planted Carr and forced an incompletion.

I guess that was kind of what I was getting at. The fact they keyed in on the screens should have given the staff notice to alter the game plan. JC can do more than just run the flats on screen plays. It was also noticeable that we tried to stay away from Mack, which is also something they keyed in on. Not to mention it no secret we dont throw much to our WR that much.
And as I stated in an earlier post, had we not knocked Murry out of the game, it could have been much worse. Jones Drew and McFadden were going to hurt us.

Yep. Negated team speed, end runs, lineman getting out in front at the next level, edge rushers etc... Not by accident that when it subsided, KC got back in it and took the lead. The problem I have is they didn't hold it.

I'm not making excuses; just recognizing that sometimes situations favor one team over another.

It was a horrible game that we had no business losing and it'll likely hurt us big time in the end.
