Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.
A few quick ground rules:

Another great episode. GoT keeps proving that it's one of the best shows on television.
The Hound unsurprisingly won his fight, but Beric apparently has as many lives as Thoros can give him. Those two are certainly an interesting pair (and Thoros seems to have much better intentions than the other red priest on the show, Melisandre). Jon Snow and Ygritte finally got it on. Been waiting for that for a season or so. Other than that, his story didn't move forward much. Robb reminded me of his father when he executed Karstark for killing the Lannister children. Pretty intense scene. Rather than being practical and keeping his army intact as everyone around him wanted him to, he decided to enact a death sentence for Karstark's treason. Robb stuck with honor there, but it may cost him any real shot of winning the war without the Frey's help. We saw Stannis' family (who seem to be kept far away from everyone else) for the first time, including his scarred daughter that I don't believe we knew he had and his wife that appears far more crazy than he is. Odd family relationship for an odd character. We also saw another side of Jaime that had only really been insinuated before through bits and pieces of his dialogue in the first two seasons. That was truly a great scene with him and Brienne in the bath. One of the best of this season. He may not be an honorable man in the way that Ned and Barristan Selmy were/are, but he's clearly a much more prudent one. If he didn't act how he did and break his vows the Mad King would have killed the city's entire population with wildfire. Jaime has slowly become one of my favorites on the show, he is clearly a deeper character than he first appeared. And then, of course, Tywin forcing his children to marry Sansa and Loras to preserve Lannister power. I'm not sure the move is entirely necessary from his perspective, but I can't exactly see either one disobeying him either. No Theon this week, though, so at least things couldn't get worse for him! |

3.5 was a very good episode, but it pales when I compare it to 3.4 (best episode of the series so far). Last night was great if for no other reason than Rose Leslie finally got naked.
All good observations KC Connection. The previews from next week look steller. |

Ygritte was hot!
And we got to see Brienne's naked butt! Wait. Well, Brienne's was actually better than I would have thought... |

The last two episodes have been the best back to back episodes of the series. This season is living up to its promise.

Thankfully, no scenes with Bran this week.
The whole episode comes to a screeching halt when him and his story are on screen. |

It seems like a couple of his scenes this season have been there just to remind viewers that he's still around. It looked like Osha was in the previews for next week, so I assume we'll get some of Bran next week. Hopefully it'll be interesting. I do like the kid playing Jojen, but they have not done much to introduce his sister Meera.

She looks kind of cute in real life. They're going to have to make her a little more uglier. Ugly enough to upset Jaime when he gets a boner seeing her naked.

All the chick butt was awesome, and littlefinger's spy's junk was it's usual 'uggh,' but that second of the kingslayer's hairy beanbag from behind will haunt my days.
