Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I see, chest all blown apart. Right shoulder all shot to hell as well.
One bull.Plus 4 shots high are nice & tight, right where I would have my POI at 100 yards. Last edited by LiveSteam; 06-19-2011 at 10:31 PM.. |

And Wednesday or Thursday my wife and I will be getting our smith and wesson handguns. I love seeing her shoot. She's a fairly good shot with an M16 open sights.

Advice please....
Currently using a 12 ga. for home defense. Have an SKS for range and plinking. Ready to invest in a handgun. Got it narrowed down to .40 s/w and a .45. Any advice from the experts here on which way to go?

I would go (and have gone) with the .40 over the .45. You really don't sacrifice much in the way of stopping power, ammo is much cheaper, and personally I find I'm much more accurate shooting the .40.

A 9mm with some JHP would work just fine as defense. We went with the 40 due to ammo prices. Here in ok, you're talking $40 just for a 100 rnd box of Winchester for a 45. It's $30 for the 40 and $25 for the 9mm.
