isaw water for elephants yesterday. It was more of a period piece than a chick flick, although the end was sappy as hell. I think that it could have been amazing if they ditched the 12 year old girl market and went for a real actor to lead instead of Edward from twilight to compliment this amazing cast.

I loved Midnight In Paris. Just saw it a few nights ago and I'd highly recommend it.

New X-Men was fantastic. Great score, too. And lots of ass parading around in this movie.

Took the kids to Kung Fu Panda 2. I really liked it, but I'm a fan of the franchise. The kids loved it. I think the animation/art was superior to the first. It also has a pretty classic kung-fu story arc drawing heavily on monomyth.

Watched some documentaries this weekend. 180° South was great. Also watched the Vice Guide to Liberia and the Vice Guide to North Korea. That guy has some balls to go the places he does.

Not a big Vin fan, either. I just don't like overly muscular guys. Paul Walker is yummy, and I kind of think Sung Kang is, too. Just something about him.

Watched "No Strings Attached" last night with the wife. It was actually really funny up until the stupid cheesy line at the end. Plus Natalie Portman is always hot.

Not sure who recommended the 1 percent. Very interesting doc about the wealthy. Still can't decide where my opinion lies.

Saw X-Men First Class... see that thread if you care.
Give it a 7.5/10.

Continuing my binge on old movies.
Going through my Errol Flynn Box Set and watched "Adventures of Don Juan", "The Dawn Patrol", and "Charge of the Light Brigade" this past weekend. Will watch "Gentleman Jim" and "Elizabeth and Essex" this upcoming weekend. Then it's time to drag out my Marx Brothers. I'm thinking "Night at the Opera" and "Duck Soup" for starters.
