Finally saw The Red Violin tonight. Highly recommended.

I just finished up Unstoppable. In MY opinion, an absolutely outstanding movie. I have watched countless movies in my life (I'm 22 years young), and I find that most "Action/Adventure" movies are full of sex, filth, cussing, and unnecessary garbage that spoils the plot and the movie. Believe me, I'm NOT a puritan by any stretch of the imagination. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat from scene one until the very end. I can't say when I last so thoroughly enjoyed a good movie like this. I sure wish there were more such movies made these days.

I just thought I'd bring it up to get other people's thoughts on it. I tend to watch shows and movies about law/lawyers a little differently now. Of course, it wasn't quite what I had in mind from the previews. I actually liked it better than I thought I would. Most people on here tend to dog what I like for one reason or another, so that's why I didn't initially share my thoughts.
Phillipe's role wasn't as big as I thought it would be. I think they tried to make it out to be more suspenseful than it actually was. I enjoyed it because I tried seeing it from the point of view of knowing what kinds of legal ethical dilemmas Matthew faced that I wouldn't really have been aware of before. I'd give it an 8/10. |

Just finished 127 Hours. Outstanding job. I had no idea James Franco had that performance in him.

Zombieland was hilarious. Might be the best 87 minute movie I've seen. I SWEAR I saw a Tom Cruise zombie.

Paul was pretty funny. Pegg and Frost have tremendous on-screen chemistry together, as expected, and Seth Rogen did a great job. There are plenty of winks and nods to nerds throughout. It wasn't earth-shattering, but you could spend $10-$30 on a much worse movie. (Gnomeo *shudder*)

Getting ready to go see Limitless. I actually like Brad Cooper more than McConaughey. He's got a quirkiness to him that is HAWT. And amazing eyes. |
