It was my next-to-last pick and it was a choice between him and another setup man... he's going to be up this year, which makes him keepable... he's a potential stud, and I really wanted at least one more good, young, cheap SP keeper. Between Syndergaard, Bundy and Zimmer, I feel pretty certain to get that.

You traded away the two best players in that deal.

Nah, Goldy will have a better avg. than Trumbo but the power numbers should be about the same. Cano is the best 2b in the game. In my league doubles and triples count so Segura will be very valuable. Tulo is just too unreliable. I was kinda bummed about giving up Cole but Cashner is about to have a huge season. I'm happy with it

Cano is a LHH 2B who just went from the best park in the majors for lefty power to arguably the worst. That's going to put a major dent in his value. He's also swapping out Fenway, Camden Yards, and Sky Dome for Oakland, Anaheim, and Texas, which are, on the whole, less hitter friendly, and cumulatively, significantly so.
Trumbo is barely above a league average hitter. He provides no value outside of HR pop. Any guy who gets on base less than 30% of the time is going to be an albatross. He's also going to get switched out of a lot of games late because he's a defensive disaster in the OF. Tulo isn't Ripken, but 120 games of him is worth far more than 160 of Trumbo

Just because he's playing in parks where there's fewer home runs doesn't mean that will translate into more outs. His HR and RBI will take a dip but he could very well lead the league in average and doubles.
You could make the argument that in a fantasy league Goldy is better than Cano but there is no way in hell Tulo is more valuable than him. I don't care if Cano is playing in the Polo Grounds in 1913 he's gonna hit well. Last edited by L.A. Chieffan; 03-30-2014 at 08:43 AM.. |

Kershaw goes on the DL and the guy I'm matched up against for Week 1 took Dillon Gee before I could get a chance to sign him.
