A little casting news... not super spoiler-ish, but it's a character from the comics.
Spoiler!
And another...
Spoiler!

It looks like the zombie and the kid were bleeding from their eyes, not eyeless. I am guessing it is a sign of some sort of a plague as well.

I'm assuming the virus has mutated - they made it a point to show the zombie with bleeding eyes a few times... I'm thinking either the deer or the water... I'm leaning towards the deer because of the very deliberate line in the beginning of the episode of the harry potter dude thanking Daryl for the meat... Then the boy starts handling the deer meat with his hands... Zombie salmonella?

I have to think the piles and piles of unburied rotting dead bodies, left to fester in the Georgia sun, have to have something to do with it. Even without a zombie disease, that's an incubation farm for every vile plague there is.

I don't think it had anything to do with Daryl or the deer meat, unless the pigs dying is a red herring.
Though, now that I think about it, Rick saw the dead deer in the woods followed by the dying wild boar. Are they implying that the boar ate some of the deer? What about the pig in the pen. Would they feed the pigs deer scraps? |
