-- I realize I'm late to the show - 90's alternative help.......?
Hey guys - I'm looking for some bands similar to STP or Dinosaur Jr. I like the tracks that were popular enough to remember - however not the ones that were beaten to death by mainstream. It's a fine line.
Here's an example of what I'm looking for in this genre... http://tinyurl.com/mnkvzy If you all can help, that'd be great - I was listening mostly to hip-hop and electronica, even back then. So I missed a decade - aside from the Counting Crows and maybe Smashing Pumpkins - so eliminate those, please. Sisters of Mercy...??? The video I posted is precisely the style, and level of popularity (at that time) that I am looking for Any help? |

Alice in Chains' live album is just about perfect. Still miss Lane.

You have some excellent choices in there - however Fugazi (I love them by the way 'waiting room' were were there! 1994!) and Front242 and Bob Mould belong elsewhere. Here's another couple examples of what I'm looking for: |

That's an excellent song Simply.
My brother thought it was Tom Petty when he first heard it! |

Thanks,
But Baby Lee - In respect to Bob Mould - Sugar fits the OP mold (lol) a little better for Bob's ventures vs Husker Do - wouldn't you say? |

Fuel isn't really what I like.
I think Creed gets some unfair criticism - I really like What's this life for - maybe a one-hit wonder though, I'll agree w/ that. |
