Season 1 was the best.
Seasons 4 and 5 close behind.

Can someone recap season 5 again?
And I agree with the notion that season 1 was the best.

Palmer et al are killed because of Palmer's knowledge about the existence of a supply of Syntox Nerve Gas. A anti-Russian seperatist group gets ahold of the Syntox on this, the day of a arms/intelligence treaty between Russia and the U.S. Jack is able to trace the Syntox back to a government-connected company run by Christopher Henderson, Jack's old boss at CTU (before the show). Henderson is not the main villian, though. Eventually, it is revealed that President Logan (!) had been responsible for much of the day's events. Logan was working with a mysterious man wearing a bluetooth earpiece (revealed in season 6 to be Jack's brother, Greahm). Jack, in tandem with friends, is able to get Logan arrested. But the Chinese capture the now-out-of-hiding Jack and bring him to China to be held and tortured. My shitty rundown does not convey how solid this season was. |

Yeah, like I said 1-3 were the best. George got the virus and had to fly the plane.

2 was good but I thought 3 was bad. But not season 6 bad.

LOL, it's funny reading so many other people's experiences watching the DVD's...Me and the Missus were introduced to the series by some friends and told we just had to go out and rent season 1 on DVD to catch up...So one weekend we went down to Blockbuster and got the first two DVD's, watched them straight through (what is that, 6 episodes I think?), and were immediately on the phone to Blockbuster begging them to please hold the next two DVD's for us until we could get there...
Season 1 was some of the greatest TV ever made... |

Their lack of fear about knocking off main characters is another outstanding point in their favor.
