Yep. That sort of thing happens when you get eliminated from a tournament.

In other news, apparently K-State won the national championship in bass fishing last month. Didn't know there was such a thing. (Not a sanctioned NCAA event, its just a club sport and they are technically pros since they are sponsored and fish for money events, but still, the guy who won it had to share half his winnings with K-State)
What made it mildly impressive was that its usually a two-man event, but one guy in the K-State team was disqualified and the other guy had to fish by himself against well-funded 2-man southern teams from Alabama, Clemson, etc)

How does it work if Nebraska wins something in the B1G? Do you get a junior trophy for being a junior member? (And by "you" I mean people who have actually seen the inside I'd a university).

That's it, the party is over. What did Mizzou get out of their years in the Big 12?
Conference Regular Season Championships? Conference Tournament Championships? Bowl Games? National Championships? The Mizzou fans know more about this than I do, so, let's hear it. What are you taking out the door?

Lost in the super regionals with ten freshmen, one win away from our fourth straight World Series appearance. Big 12 pitcher and DPOY both return next year.
Yeah, we're much better than ku in that sport too. I'm seeing a trend here. |

So Mizzou has a total of 7 post-season championships across 4 sports since the inception of the Big 12 in 1996, correct?

Here's a pretty good dummy's guide to realignment.
There's nothing in there that we don't already know, but if someone is asking "realignment? FSU to the Big 12? Huh? Why would they ever do that?", this is a good link to point them to.

It is a good thing for KC that the Big 12 has rebounded so well. Obviously, for the KU and Kstate fans, but for the city itself (we still have the bball tourney) and with Texas and OU settling down and the addition of a competent commissioner everything looks like it is on the up and up for all of the local teams. Things will be interesting once this next phase(s) of realignment happens. The ball is in the Big 12's and SEC's court and at the end of this it appears the SEC and Big 12 will be the nation’s two premier conferences. |
