Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

My kid loves hers. Most of her shooting is chasing around any cripple snow geese we knock out of the sky. I use it for Bullfroging at night time. The actions are slick, gun is quite accurate. The one thing I didnt like about it was the plastic front barrel band. But I have been told they now are made of metal & that I can wright into Henry & get one. Been meaning to do that for awhile now.

It was a while ago, but I'm 90% sure I sold it for $475. I'm selling my Sig SP 2022 if you know of anyone looking for a 9mm. Probably only 500 rounds through it. Excellent condition.

Can the Wal-Mart sold ranch rifles take after market hi cap mags?
Anyone have a mk77 scout? I had a 22 wmr and it was the squirrel gettinest sob ever. With a decent scope you can zap em from all the way across the farm.

Killed probably a hundred bunnies and tree rats with mine this year. They are fun to shoot but if you dont work the action true they will jam.

MO, if you like .22 mag for squirrels, try a .17hmr sometime. Flat shootin' sombeeches. Savage makes some great one's for the money. specs on 17 hmr
MarkII FVXP I try to head shoot or rib shoot 'em, they tear the little rascals up a bit more than a .22 long rifle.

I bought one a few years back for 150 bucks. I call it my tackle box gun. I take it when I know my sidearm is going to take a beating/get soaked or muddy. Its always fired, been pretty accurate. However, its ugly, heavy and the grip sucks. I put a new grip on mine. I prefer everyone of my pistols over it, though.

The hi-points aren't too bad for what they are. I still have a .40 for a boat/throwaway if needed. When they came out a buddy and I split a case of 9mms (intended as SHTF pistols) and I bought a .40 and a .45. At the time we paid $99 for the .40 and .45 and $79 each for the 9mm's.
Sold or traded away the 9mms over the last few years and the .45 as well. For a cheap gun they work great. And not too inaccurate either.
