I am officially addicted to Kerbal Space Program. Had to get auto pilot for space flight, I was helpless without it.
Anyone else play it?

Even with the autopilot mod, there is a lot of strategy. Especially when dealing with other planets. Plus tons of luck. I was able to get an unmanned ship to orbit around Duna (Mars). It was on the same plane as its moon. Out of fuel, I lucked into getting the moons orbit to sling shot me into the planet. I was able to get science readings of high orbit Duna, high orbit the moon, close orbit Duna and surface readings of Duna. That netted me about 300 science on that trip alone.

Yeah it consumed my weekend. It's been purty good.
Various thoughts: +It runs so much better on my system than DS1 it's ridiculous +No GFWL is great. +It's more DS, the combat never gets old +I like how some stuff has been streamlined. Like you just use an item to become Human anywhere and don't have to mess around with bonfires. -I don't think I like the environments near as much as DS1. Having the instant tele's from the start kind of takes away the sense of exploring a seamless world. Last edited by Blankey; 04-28-2014 at 03:07 PM.. |

Yeah.. mine too. I agree with all of your points except the last, as I think I'm finding the environments to be more interesting in general. It's really nice that the multiplayer aspects are actually working this time, too.

Ya, been playing it non-stop. Never played the first but I'm really digging it (lvl110 right now).

Playing it as well. Have a cleric and a Warrior. The one thing I hated about Dks1 and this current one is the lack of strength weapons. There aer very few STR based weapons with A scaling unlike dex, it seems like they are just dex whores and I hate it because I want to do STR builds and there is almost nothing out there to do it with. Just like dks1...sigh.

That's fine by me as Dex seems inherently more appealing..can't say why, though. Actually DS2 seems to be much better for str builds to me. The one thing I wish they had done is allow parrying/blocking in dual wield stances. I mean.. enemies can do it...so why not me? I don't need to still be able to use the right hand weapon by itself in power stance..

this works amazing. I was streaming Guacamelee wirelessly to my weak laptop. only issue i have with its design is the main pc cannot be used to do something else while it is streaming. still, this is great.

Yep saw it. Pretty much kicks ass. Combine with steam boxes, big picture mode, and steam OS. Gaben is on the warpath vs consoles.
