So sure, the National Grand Lodge may have some rule on the books that says they just need a unanimous vote, but there are plenty of Lodges that don't allow blacks, just the same. |

You said blacks can join regular Masonic Lodges, I said, "some, not all." Is that not accurate? |

All 6 of my uncles are (were) Masons. I grew up serving pancakes at the hall, just as I grew up serving at the VFW. There are no racial barriers, membership is encouraged though hard to come by.

Anybody else ever read this book:
http://www.amazon.com/Secret-History.../dp/1590201620 I found it to be fascinating. One of the main points I got from the book is that mankind had a much deeper, more profound relationship with God 3,000-4,000 years ago, because he was that much closer to the source of origin, time of creation. Whereas today we are further removed from that point of creation, so we have little or no relationship left with God. Of course, the Moonbat's theory is that as civilization progressed and man became more scientific, he dismissed the ancients views as primitive and childish, and defined his religion as "myth". But I think it's the other way around. I think the ancients had it down and we lost it somewhere along the way. |

These last two posts are truly representative of the hugely divergent understanding of where knowledge can be found. On one hand we have those who believe the past holds truth (and we can know it by words alone) and the other that knowledge has been added and we grow more in our understanding; in a word progress. Did the knowledge of the past put us on the moon? Did knowledge of the past split the atom? Compared to 10,000 years of the past knowing best, no. In the span of 300 years the Scientific Revolution yes. These events, moon walking and atom splitting, represent only a few of the "new things under the sun."
