solution?

I mean food stamps is down to 50$ a month for individuals, and I know plenty of seniors who that money means a LOT too. Its quite a few meals per month, and really helps them live on their $877 social security check

Cancel food stamps?

How 'bout we just stop QEs and the printing presses and allow the economy to work itself out including allowing falling prices. Then we don't need food stamps for the elderly. Honest to gawd, the state creates more problems when it tries to fix a problem.

Why? I can just go onto the government's SNAP website and see it's nearly 3x the amount you claimed:

http://www.fns.usda.gov/pd/18SNAPavg$PP.htm

I don't think anyone is bitching about feeding people, especially seniors. It's just sad that our economy is such that so many people need the assistance.

There is a ton of SNAP abuse out there but I see that as a totally separate issue.

its not the economy, IMO. Its an unwillingness to accept the human condition. I think is awesome that we try, but there has to balance and limits. Some people want to live forever. Some people don't. As a society we need to learn how to say no.

I am. All these handouts are horseshit, pay your own ****ing bills or die off. Pretty simple. Without all the entitlements those of us that work and pay our own bills are better off, food prices decrease taxes decrease, all in all the responsible members of society live and the lazy die off.

I'm not upset that we provide food assistance. I'm upset that people are claiming that the economy is thriving. When a third of the country can't feed themselves, the economy is shit.

I'm not saying it's morally right or wrong, but does it make the child because of it? Think about that for a second.

Why should they die off slowly of starvation? What way would you like to kill off our Grandma's and Grandpa's?
