If guns so dangerous, why would they let those kids hold them for their pictures? I wonder how many people got mowed down while taking those photographs...probably a lot.

Only in America. You can probably get a copy in Mexico if you're willing to risk sneaking it across the border.

I was seriously confused by the Little Red Riding Hood ad. I even went to Amazon.com and found that you can buy the same book the kid is holding. Then I looked at the picture again and saw the fine print at the bottom saying that the book had been banned in a school somewhere. But that doesn't help the ad make any sense because AR-15s are banned in pretty much every school in the country.

Ad is dumb.

Here's the deal on the chocolate eggs, in case you were wondering. "Kinder Chocolate Eggs" are chocolate eggs with a small plastic toy inside the egg. They are popular in Europe, but occasionally kids die or get sick when they pop the egg in their mouth and choke on the toy inside. There's a US law from the 1930s that bans the sale of most food that has an embedded non-food object inside that can't be seen. So, that's why Kinder eggs are banned. So now you know the rest of the story...

Apparently, two schools made news when they "banned" it in 1990.
This was the objectionable line from that specific version of the book:

"The grandmother drank some of the wine, and after a while, the grandmother felt quite strong and healthy, and began to clean up the mess that the wolf had left in the cottage.''

You have to admit, you don't see too many children's books with people regaining vitality after drinking alcohol.

If you hated those ads, you'll love this one--

In my extensive research on the chocolate egg and Little Red Riding Hood banning, I noticed another ad from the group where one kid is holding a dodge ball. The ad notes that we ban dodge ball to keep kids safe, but not guns. Yeah, very dumb.

Yep. The dodge ball one is particularly amusing to me.

Dodge balls don't hurt fat kids. People hurt fat kids.

I don't know what schools they are talking about, but AR-15's are banned from schools in GA.

Well, heck, schools have been "gun free zones" period.
