I pay for it, so I can spell it however the **** I want.

I'm pretty sure that the teachers there can spell it...

Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), one of the most powerful people in Washington, raises an interesting question. Since there were no bloggers when the Constitution was written, does the Constitution apply to bloggers? An actual quote:

“What is a journalist today in 2013? We know it’s someone that works for Fox or AP, but does it include a blogger? Does it include someone who is tweeting? Are these people journalists and entitled to constitutional protection? We need to ask 21st century questions about a provision that was written over 200 years ago.”

Here’s another thoughtful question. Since the vermin infesting the District of Corruption were not alive when the Constitution was written, would the 8th Amendment’s proscription against cruel and unusual punishment apply to them, or would it be okay to impale them on stakes?

You beat me to it! But he's not senile, He's a dumb ass. Been in the US senate for over a decade and doesn't know that constitutional protection's apply to all Americans not just the press.
