Good. It sucks that we have to say to him that he has no place on the planet, but what was done can never be forgiven. He's got to go.

Think he'll get the death penalty in a state where the governor is about to commute the death sentence against Nathan Dunlap and the legislature is about to outlaw the death penalty entirely?

I don't think it'll happen.

Hickenlooper might get his ass recalled if he commutes his sentence. this guy would be long dead by the time the mesaure Rhonda Fields, convicted criminal, has proposed goes to vote. Nor would the amendment apply to anyone already on death row.

Does anyone seriously believe that this nutcase will ever see the inside of an execution chamber? Colorado ain't Texas. Appears to be more like California. Officially has the death penalty, and people get sentenced to death, but effectively it doesn't exist.

Surprising. They said the jury asked to see the crime scene video again.

Maybe they had a holdout they were trying to convince.

I would have voted to execute that guy without a moment's hesitation. He shot 82 people and killed 12 of them. There's no doubt that they got the right guy.

Any member of the jury who didn't vote for the death penalty would obviously never vote for the death penalty under any circumstances.

Evolution of criminal justice. At one time they publicly tortured people to death. It wasn't all that long ago in England that they hanged people for stealing a loaf of bread. Society evolves. It's not so much the "right to live" as society setting higher standards for its own conduct.

So I'm guessing a higher society of standards doesn't include harvesting human aborted baby organs right?
