4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession
66 of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective
67 date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
68 (1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of
69 Missouri;
70 (2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or
71 (3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law
72 enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.
73 5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an
74 assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

I agree it is not that many. I get angry and lash out at the left on this because it is the left side that desires it. I agree with the left on several things but this issue is a deal breaker with me here or in real life. New laws are nothing more that an attempt to gain ground on their ultimate goal of disarmament. I unlike the sheep who think enforcing new laws on the law abiding will make us safer will stand my ground. I was raised with the understanding that I must provide for myself and those under my watch. I grew up understanding I and only I was responsible for my own protection and the protection of those under my watch. I grew up in a very volatile time. I often wonder how many here have been in a race riot, I have been in several. Unlike the news reel I grew up in the Midwest and we had no prejudice against blacks, heck most of us had never even seen one. They started busing in blacks to our schools. When they showed up we were fascinated by them and made an effort to be friends. They were not interested and for some reason they hated us.

They would be hateful to us and showed us to a new style of fighting. One on one was not how they settled fights. They would approach one of us with four or five and jump us. Sadly many of my white friends would be too chickenshit to stand their ground. They thought they could just cry how mean someone was to them. I learned quick that those who ran the school were not going to protect us, Some of us figured out quick that the only answer was to tune these clowns up on our own. Long story short you and nobody else will protect you. Background checks are for one reason and one only, to identify who has guns for later use. So in closing I am a peckerwood from the 217 and you can god damn bet your ass you had to earn that title. If the day every comes that they come for my guns I will sadly ask those I love and no longer can protect to leave and surrender, and on my mothers grave swear those shitbags will take my guns but they will have a shorter roll call at the next morning~
