Took the kids to see "Rise of the Guardians" over the weekend. Really, really good. We all loved it. Might be my favorite animated film of the year.

Really? Better than Wreck it Ralph? Seeing the trailer for Rise of the Guardians, made me go meh. But I might need to have second thought, seeing it have 76% on RT.

Wreck it Ralph was very good and highly entertaining....but Guardians had it all. Solid story, great, inventive animation, action, suspense, laughs, cries.....deeper emotional content. The trailers are not doing it justice. Maybe because its a harder concept to sell?

A couple we know went to see Killing them softly tonight and they walked out halfway through it. Surely it can't be that bad?

The proper way to watch TBL is to watch it all the way through, be disappointed, wait 6-8 months until you've mostly forgot about it, then watch it again. Somehow that turns it into one of the best comedies in the history of cinema. Seriously, there are VAST swathes of people who hated TBL on first viewing, and then love it unflinchingly from subsequent viewings.

When I saw Big Lebowski in the theater I actually left. It might be the only movie I walked out of. I guess I should try it again.

Guess I need to watch TBL again also. I've tried to watch it 3-4 times but haven't got past 30 minutes at anytime.
