Because those are service industries where employees basically volunteer in exchange for time and a half. And they aren't there managing a nightmarish stampede of customers. I also doubt there's much ability to use vacation time.

I don't care about holiday hours for retail, as long as its clear that people an volunteer for shifts. Pretty clear that didn't happen in target, nor does it sound like they gave their employees time to prepare.

Yeah. I was helping my Mother in Law out last night who wanted to pick up a small T.V.

We got there at 8 pm to "beat the rush"......

yeah.....****ing zoo. Then they told us we still had to wait in line for the T.V's and the line doesn't start moving till 10.

Well I was bored last night and decided to drive by Target because I've been wanting an IPad but the lines were about a 3 hour wait to pay.

I turned around and said **** this isn't worth it just for a 60 dollar gift card.
