Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

You're using your brain. It's just that there isn't any evidence that you're using it for factual thought. Like when you claim some person's actions are the instruction from an omnipotent creator that there is no factual evidence for. That kind of thing.

Religion is based on faith. Faith is defined as the absence of proof. Being a Christian requires that you believe some things in which there isn't any proof for. Religion by its very nature requires ignoring information already proven to be factual. It requires a certain degree of "Check your brain at the door" by design. That's not a bad thing in and of itself. But you can't really say it's the contrary of "Checking your brain at the door"..

You are either failing horribly at interpreting my comment or you're just trying to put words in my mouth. I'm not sure if I can make it any clearer. (1)The concepts that Hovind is putting out there are mindless dribble. They're nonsense. They're so illogical that I would not be surprised to discover that he was actually a scam artist running a racket. They are so ridiculous that...(2)some people will look to him, and what he is saying, to evaluate the thinking process of believers. Those people might have a poor opinion of those who believe because they might think that he somehow represents believers in general.
