Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

The other thing about B-Rush is that he never lied. Coach Self would be like, “Did everyone make curfew last night? Where is this list of yours? If Oldboy (trilogy) isn't on it - I don't care about it anymore.
And Battle Royal was indeed a book before movie -- I own it but never finished it.

I read an interview a month ago that said Spike Lee intends to keep the octopus scene in his Oldboy remake. We'll see how that goes.

Watched Haywire, We Bought a Zoo and Girl with the Dragon Tat (Fincher version) over the weekend.


Haywire was kinda meh......kind of slow and boring.

Zoo was solid. Lesser Crowe, but a nice family, crowd pleasing, put a smile on your face flick.

Dragon Tat was flat out awesome. I was riveted from start to finish. I want to go watch the Swedish sequels on Netflix now because im not sure they will do American made remakes of those.

There is an extended version of the Swedish trilogy available on Netflix streaming that might interest you:
