Game of Thrones (spoiler-free zone)
A few have suggested it, might as well test the waters. The idea is to give people who haven't read the books a safe place to talk about the show.
A few quick ground rules:

The thing I find most intriguing is the contempt that exists for Tyrion from Tywinn, all the while there are extreme similarities between them. Tyrion is definitely the son of Tywinn. If Tyrion weren't born an imp, he would be the favorite child; no questions asked.

If Cersei was a man, she'd be his favorite. If Jamie grew up, he'd be his favorite. And there's the whole incest thing. They all have their plusses and minuses.

After that preview, it's all that was needed.

Great cinematography at the end with the shot of Bran in the candlelight. I had assumed that Theon hadn't actually killed the two Starks last week, but that reveal was still really effective because of how they did it.
It's also interesting that they've continued to humanize Theon's character as he digs himself into even deeper shit. You can almost sympathize with him at this point. Varys hadn't been in an episode in a while and it's always great whenever he appears (especially when he discusses things with Tyrion like he did today). Liked the Jaime and Brienne scene as well (you couldn't find greater opposites). Doesn't look like they'll make it back before the battle, though (which I assume is taking place next episode, though I haven't seen the preview yet). Also at Joffrey's idea about how to kill Stannis. |

Oh...and Dinklage's acting when he thought Shae was taken from him was also a great part of this episode. That's become the norm, though.

Yeah, saving that until the very end without teasing it at all was just right.

But yes, good shot nonetheless

The other thing about B-Rush is that he never lied. Coach Self would be like, “Did everyone make curfew last night? If you didn’t make curfew, raise your hand.” All of us that broke curfew kept our hands down — except B-Rush. He’d raise his hand and tell on himself. Coach Self would ask him why he didn’t make curfew and he’d say, “Because the club was crackin’!” Everyone would laugh and he’d make B-Rush run a little bit. |
