What do you think about this? I remember Kerry's "passing the global test" line from the debates. I wonder if Obama subscribes to the same test.

I doubt he would take it, if only because Napolitano would appoint a Democrat in his stead. That's what will probably prevent Obama from even offering a spot to him, as well; trying to pry extra seats away from the party you just defeated would look really bad.

I do expect McCain to do everything he can to work with Obama, though.
