I'd be shocked if there isn't a Hugh Jackman after credits scene in 4...

Easiest way is to admit the FF/X-men/Avengers aren't in the same universe but get "smashed" together somehow with the gauntlet/Thanos...

Jarnbjorn! That's actually a pretty cool way to almost forgive Mjolnir getting crushed like grape.
Judging by a recent piece of concept art released in a teaser video for Avengers: Infinity War with Thor fighting alongside Rocket Raccoon, it doesn't look like Thor will be doing battle with his usual weapon, Mjolnir. It was recently brought to my attention that he's not wielding that weapon in the art. No, the weapon he's got in his hands is called Jarnbjorn, and it's a freakin' battle axe! This is a weapon that Thor used in the comics when he was not worthy of Mjolnir. The battle axe was forged by the Dwarfs of Nidavellir, and it's indestructible thanks to an enchantment that was placed on it. Jarnbjorn is naturally sharper than almost any earthly weapon and can cut virtually anything. It's also said that it can "be used to defend against any attack, even bursts of energy like Apocalypse's optic beam." Also, thanks to Thor's own enchantment with his own blood, Jarnbjorn can pierce the armor of Celestials. https://geektyrant.com/news/it-looks...s-infinity-war

With Sony doing the Spiderverse, I expect Tony and Cap will die in the Infinity war so they don't have to reference anything Disney/Marvel.

I'm down. I think I'd be more of a dual-wielding sword kind of guy myself but a battle axe would probably be my next choice.
It's unfortunate that this is a Disney project. I'd love to see him split some skulls with that thing. |

So hey, how 'bout Paul Bettany's lucky break?
I mean think about this. Bettany signed on in 2008 to do this tiny scrap of voice work for this silly comic book movie that nobody was likely to care about. "Sure, I'll do 8 lines of dialogue for a faceless computer in Iron Man...it'll cover rent for a couple of months..." 10 years later he's a main character in one of the biggest tentpole movies ever made. Why? Because a weird-ass writer's twist installed in the middle of a pretty shitty movie (Age of Ultron kinda sucks) took his voice work and stuck it into a live-action character. So now he gets to be Vision. That's gotta be the best 'sure, why the hell not?' decision anyone's ever made, right?

If we're lucky and they ever do use the Betty character again hopefully it's her and not that whispering idiot Liv Tyler...
