Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

How long do you guys think that the .22 shortage keeps up? I have plenty of plinking ammo but would like to pick up some CCI velocitors or Stingers for hunting . Haven't seen them in forever though

If you do get a Mosin Nagant, I'd recommend getting a couple crates of military surplus ammo to go along with it. The ammo is sealed in spam cans, so its ideal for long term storage. And it costs less than $.25 cents per round. The only downside is that its corrosive. Not that big of a deal. All you have to do is pour some water down the barrel to dissolve the corrosive salts. |

I read somewhere recently (don't remember where, nor do I have a link) that production was supposed to ramp up "soon". And I have seen deals on run of the mill .22lr ammo more frequently over the last couple of weeks.

I've been hearing that since last year, and its still tough to find a brick of .22 on the shelf. And if you do find some, you're limited on how many you can buy.

CCI AR Tactical for $24.99 per 300-round brick.
***Nevermind. Sold out minutes after I posted the link.*** Free shipping on orders over $50. https://secure.gandermountain.com/mo...=view&i=831867 It appears to be no limit, which is unusual. I ended up ordering a bunch, but wouldn't be surprised if it gets cancelled. Its worth a shot. Last edited by Munson; 09-15-2014 at 02:05 PM.. |

What is the best way to attach a pressure switch to a forend? Specifically, the Magpul MOE Remington 870 forend.

Heads up for any KC area CPers looking for .22.
Pretty much every Walmart has 100-round boxes of CCI Standard Velocity in stock today. But the Walmart on K7 and Santa Fe is selling it by the 2,000-round case if you desire. They had about 15 cases left as of 45 minutes ago. Also, Walmart has all ZQI ammo on sale for 20% off today and tomorrow. Just got a bunch of 7.62x51 for $7.95 per box. Not bad for brass cased ammo. |

I use to say I would never buy a glock but I couldn't keep my word. Picked up a G19 Wednesday and this piece fits my hand perfect. I'll end up carrying it on duty. Scored a good price on it with the blue label program.

I love Glock's. I can shoot my 20 like no other and it's always my road trip gun. I know if I run into trouble, I can put out the lights with that gun.

On a side note I ordered my first AK yesterday. I have enough AR's and it was time to mix it up a bit.

I finally did score 600 rds of the 40 grain Winchester 40 grain hyper velocity stuff. Supposedly Winchesters equivalent to the CCI Velocitor. High dollar shit but I snagged all I could. First .22 I have seen in awhile.
