As I said in the Carwin/Lesnar thread...

I wanna see BJ Penn get his belt back. Surely he'll have solved Edgar's puzzle by the time they fight again. I like Frankie, he's a good fighter, but I was shocked to see him get that win.

I can't decide anymore what is more white trash. Nascar or MMA? MMA is getting close, but the fact there are actually black people in it seems to help it stay out of the abyss.

Mixed martial arts isn't "white trash" at all. It's one on one competition. And for the most part, it's handled with honor and class. (by the participants)

The white trash feeling you're having is probably caused by fans. One drunk retard in an Affliction shirt (who thinks he's a fighter) makes all the other fans look bad.

The sport itself, is very entertaining, very safe... and becoming more and more popular.

Three weekends in a row with top level shows, Diaz V Noons will be a good overall card, and then two UFC shows in a row, I'd say it's a good few weeks for MMA.

UFC announced Jon Jones Vs Ryan Bader on New Years, that will be a hell of a fight! I think this will be the real test for both of them, whoever wins it will get Shogun next.

Yahoo has them fighting on Super Bowl weekend and what about Rashard getting Shogun?

I think a more likely scenario is the Bader/Jones winner fighting the winner of Dragon/Rampage with the winner of that fight getting a shot at the winner of Evans/Rua.

Heh, I don't get NASCAR for the life of me but I can see how you don't appreciate MMA unless you've taken a couple classes in a discipline. And don't get me wrong, it's brutal shit that rednecks love solely for the blood an pain.

But there is a lot of skill involved. I'm willing to give NASCAR the benefit of the doubt until I learn how to drive a race car.

I do see your point except for the 'blacks'. Anderson Silva is a ****ing ninja that may go his whole career undefeated and the current ambassador of UFC.
