We've got an old family farm home that has some foundation issues and in the basement, we've put a couple of big jack stands underneath some of the wooden beams going across the floor, that is, the big beams that support the floor, and then you put the wooden flooring over these beams, then the insulation and carpet or whatvever.

I have about a 30" crawlspace under the area of the cabin that I am considering putting this thing.
Jackstands and some additional cross members is exactly what I was thinking. I like your idea of using bigger beams.
