I do believe in lower carbs than most Americans eat, especially if you aren't very active and trying to eat very little if any processed sugar.....But no where near a low carb level where you are in ketosis. 50-100g of carbs a day is pretty sufficient for most average people though. And unless you're replacing these carbs with very high fat foods, your look and waist line will likely improve.
Those who shouldn't do lower carbs are endurance type athletes. People biking, running or playing sports that have a high cardio component. But again if you look at the average American, this isn't them.

Is that a thing? I know people do the whole fasting and juice diet crap for "flushing toxins" and other vague meaningless things, but 100% of people I've talked to about keto do it for weight loss or to lose the cravings that come with a higher carb diet (and in my experience it's great for both).
Whenever I've tracked carbs on keto, I'd shoot for 50g/day, which is the high end of keto... I'm probably somewhere around there now, I'm sure under ~75g on all but the worst days (beerfests
).... so, I agree with the 50-100g/day, my guess is a lot of people would be surprised at how much more they eat in carbs/day (I sure as hell was the first time I started keto and actually tracked nutrition for the first time).
