So I was at a dinner tonight where Eric Berry was the speaker. The format was that the local sportscasters sat down with him at a table and interviewed him. Sure enough, the interviewer asked him about his fear of horse.

EB: "Man, we agreed we weren't going to talk about this."

EB: "I was maybe 4 or 5 years old when a horse bit me on the shoulder."

Interviewer: "I heard it was a pony"

EB: "Actually, it was a unicorn".

EB: "My rookie year, I was on special teams and I had it worked out with the coach that I wouldn't come onto the field until Warpaint was up in the tunnel. I was always the last player to come on the field.

EB: "Then when in my 3rd year I wasn't on the kickoff team anymore and kinda forgot about it. Except we scored a touchdown late in the game and we had an onside kick called. I started going out on the field and that horse was out there. So I broke huddle and went back to the sideline and said coach you can tell me the play from over here and I'll remember it from practice, cause I'm not going out there with that horse on the field."

Hilarious.

He's a solid guy. Says that he lost almost all of the experience he gained during his rookie year by sitting out a year with the injury. Said he just started getting things figured out again at the end of 2012. He's a very detail oriented, goal-driven player. I expect great things.
