I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. The show takes too long to develop characters, but I respect that it's doing so. The show doesn't need tons of action, but it does to deliver a little more often.

The reality is, the standalone/character driven episodes like the Morgan and Merle centric ones seem to be alot better than the plot heavy episodes like last night. The writers seem to lose all logic while trying to drive the plot forward.
