I had no idea he was there, I don't know if it was even advertised. I walked out to the garden shop and there was Ken Norton. Not a big guy, there was maybe 6 people there including myself and maybe a couple of Sears Employees. He just stood there and we all looked at him, I didn't even get an autograph. Seemed like a nice guy.

I had another brush with a famous boxer. In 2001 when I was living in Abingdon, Maryland, the Suburbs of Baltimore, it was just after the Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV, boxer Hasim Rahman also lived in Abingdon. I believe he had just beaten Lennox Lewis for the title, the town of Belair, which is right next to Abingdon, gave him a parade. He was also a nice guy. Never met him up close, but the one person I use to see all the time in Abingdon was G. Gordon Libby. In the post office, at Bob Evans, he was everywhere and was a very scary looking guy. Someone I wouldn't want to cross. That is all, carry on.

Liddy was a straight up paid assassin, I bet he did look strange in person... how he ever blended in anywhere ever in his life is beyond me.
