Our skipper, both in my squadron, and the old man on the Carrier didn’t allow drinking in Hong Kong or Singapore; but allowed it in the gulf, Australia and Tasmania.
My squadron CO was a real POS. If I ever saw him, I would walk right up to him about 3” from his face and tell him ‘FU”! Dude was a collasal D.
As are most officers from the Naval Academy. Common theme there.

Must have thought it wouldn’t be a good idea to have a bunch of 18 yr olds running around drunk in those countries lol
