Okay, now that I got him for exactly what I wanted him for (a bottom dollar 3-year deal), you have to explain WTF you were thinking with this one.
Sure, he may well suck - but you're aware that Rob Chudzinski, the new HC for the Browns, was instrumental in the development of Antonio Gates, yes? And Weeden isn't a guy that's going to do a good job firing outside of the hash marks, but he
could do some damage down the seams. Cameron's a heck of an athlete, a smart player and someone that can absolutely do damage over the middle.
I'm honestly excited as hell by what Cameron could turn into. The odds certainly don't
favor him becoming a superstar or even a good player, but at the same time, how do you just cut the guy outright? There's some definite potential there and a 90% chance at the starting gig in an offense that's likely to be pretty TE heavy.
I was hoping he'd stay under the radar because I think he has a chance to be an absolute steal. And if not, what's the loss?
