He could be scouting for his own personal knowledge,who knows.
Marty says he went to providence to meet with the Titans. Why Providence?? Close proximity to watch Teo or other play?
He has used commercial flights acouple of times this year.
There was a pic of him on a commercial flight going to give a pep talk to the college team that just fired their coach (sorry teams name escapes me at the moment).
I doubt Clark lets him scout for another team while hes on the Chiefs Payroll
