Jordan was the one time in my life as a sports fan where I could have optimism...you know how we feel when the game is on the line and we trot out our kicker or Matt Cassel or whatever for that one final drive and we all know we're ****ed and don't have a shot in the world?
Well yeah. With a minute left and a tie game and MJ on the court back when I was a kid and still believed in heroes and good things and Derrick Thomas...with 1 minute left and the game being tied everyone EVERYONE knew MJ was going to win. Bulls fans, opposing fans, Jordan haters...the people in the arena. Everyone knew it was over.
There hasn't been a player in any sport even remotely close to that since. That's why MJ was great.
