It was also more clearly a foul than the "tripping" they called for Mason on the other end, to be honest.

It is a reasonable foul, but go back and watch the replay. It's probably a no call if the TCU guy doesn't bear hug Svi when he comes down, and pulling Svi to the ground with him. I liken it to a flop. Saavy move by the TCU player, unfortunately that kind of stuff sickens me. Still, Svi needs to be smarter to be in that vicinity.
