I was referring to how she had to make yet another heroic speech about how much she loves her children and how everything she ever does is for them. Again. Because, you know, we must sympathize with her. She's not really a bad person, deep down!
I don't mind departures from the book. They've done a great job with Brienne. But they've made Cersei a completely different creature. Her love for her children, as written by GRRM, was a selfish thing. They've completely missed that note over and over and over.
