Agree entirely. He isn't going to make this defense worse. Worst case scenario, he provides an upgrade as a 1/2-down run defender who brings some hits/blows up blockers for DJ. He's more athletic, stronger and quicker IMO than becher with better instincts and is better in coverage, specifically in recognition and coming up from hs drops to make plays. Absolutely struggles in man coverage but I don't think e'd be asked to do that here. I'm not advocating we play him like Bowman and have him in on all our passing subs, but he'd definitely be a positive addition in our base front IMO.
