For me it was never about jerky and candy. I know troops like that kind of stuff over in the sandbox but, I've always thought that the most meaningful thing in the box after all the treats are gone, was citizens recognizing your service for country. Not family, friends, politicians etc. Just your fellow regular Joe citizens.

How's my theory from your perspective? Or is it all, wow, jerky and candy in the sandbox, let me at that stuff.
