Heh. I don't always smash them. I saw a huge ass spider walking across my bathroom floor once. I had just stepped out of the shower, so I wasn't prepared for a "spider smashing". So, I grabbed a plastic container and trapped the little shit. Then, I sprayed a piece of paper with hairspray. Very carefully, I lifted the container and slid the paper under it. That spider was all messed up an hour later.
