Championship Central
Irving, Texas - The University of Texas and the University of Kansas will share the 2007-08 Big 12 men's basketball regular season title. It marks the third crown for the Longhorns and eighth overall for the Jayhawks, who have won or shared four in a row.
UT and KU both finished 13-3 in league play. The Longhorns will be the No. 1 seed in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship based on its head-to-head win over the Jayhawks. It is the third time Texas has been the top seed. The Championship is scheduled to be played on March 13-16 at Sprint Center in Kansas City.
Kansas State (10-6) and Oklahoma (9-7) earned the other first-round byes in the championship. The Wildcats have a bye for the second consecutive season, while OU has a bye for the ninth time.
The entire Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship will be televised either regionally or nationally by ESPN Plus, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
