I loved Venom as a kid, mostly because he looks ****ing awesome, but honestly he is a pretty boring villain. He really doesn't do much more than smash shit and fight Spidey. Spiderman as a film enterprise is actually quite boring to me. It would obviously benefit immensely if Disney were to acquire the rights and work him in with the rest of their Marvel heroes. He would benefit by having some real foes to face, and by taking the 2nd billing for a while as a superhero. For me anyway.
