Yeah, I guess it "worked" for one album. But what did The Cars do after that? Starship was never heard of again. Styx flamed out after the Kilroy Was Here album, which I'm pretty sure sold a lot of copies. I think people bought these albums on band names alone, and then realized they pretty much sucked. If I had waited another month before I bought Heartbeat City, I probably wouldn't have bought it at all.
