Even if you take McMillian or Beckwith, I think you need more. And if you were to draft McMillian and someone like Anzalone, you're still working with little real veteran presence so you probably STILL need to bring in a veteran and now you've cost yourself Terrance Smith, who after a year in this system and with his athleticism is probably just as capable of contributing as someone like Anzalone.
I don't think you draft two. I think you draft one and sign one. If they'd have taken Foster, I could see drafting another guy later because Foster's gifted enough that the dependable veteran is more of a luxury. But with Foster and Davis gone (and Cunningham unlikely and a little different, thus iffy), it seems like a veteran ILB is a must.

You still talk about the 2017 Chiefs as if they are realistically viable for SB contention. Maybe it's just a vibe I get from a post like this.
But why even have the need for "veteran depth" at ILB, as you say?
