It's a hard choice. I enjoyed Boston and of course Washington DC for the history and museums, but I kind of knew what to expect there.
Quebec City was a surprise and gorgeous. It was like going back to the 1700s, and being French it was a fun place to visit. But Fredericksburg may be my winner. It was a beautiful small town with an astounding amount of history. I learned all sorts of stuff about James Monroe and about the Battle of Fredericksburg. It really whetted my appetite to go do a longer tour of the area.
