That's what I did. Those suckers still rose to the top.Those are mainly just a pie of sugar with a pecan topping.
That's what bothers me about pecan pie. Only time it worked was making minis in a shallow tartlet-style pan. Actually it was a muffin top pan, which I used like a tartlet pan. Those were mostly nuts surrounded by goo.
