I agree. The first time I shot a .45 it was in a 1911 platform and I shot it so much better than polymer frame 9mm. The 9mm and even .40 see,Ed to be like a loud violent firecracker and the .45 seemed to be a loud bang with controllable recoil.

I'm eyeing a 1911 style platform for my next pistol.
